The original of this painting, Fun on the Green, is not available for purchase as it has been donated to the Lytham Hall Appeal who will be auctioning it.

Lytham Hall is the most important building in the Fylde Borough, and its Grade I listing places it amongst the top 2.5% of the nation's Listed Buildings. It has been classified by English Heritage as a Building At Risk.

 

They are hoping to-

  • restore the Hall and Parkland for the public to use and enjoy.
  • ensure this hidden gem (hitherto closed to the public for 400 years) is open all year round.
  • provide educational opportunities for all, especially in archaeology, architecture and the interpretation of the hall and surrounding area, through the formation of a John Carr Study Centre.
  • create an attraction that will boost visitor numbers, help local businesses and regenerate the Fylde economy.

It is 76 x 28 cms unmounted it shows Lytham St Annes residents enjoying a sunny Club Day on the Green at Lytham
