This is the first painting a did in my Climate Change collection. Earthfire Rising depicts the power of a volcano. The earth’s surface is splitting with volcanic ash and magma covering the ground. I chose the colours to give the impression of molten rock flowing over dry earth.

This is one painting in a collection about Climate Change. This oil on canvas work envisions the power of a volcano erupting under the surface of the ocean.
As I planned this painting I was thinking about the warming seas, sea levels rising and gulf stream changes, in fact everything about global warming !
