The St Annes art society were holding an outdoor exhibition in St Annes square and I couldn't resist painting them, it was a beautiful hot sunny day and everybody was enjoying the day and the event.

Overlooking the beck this Grasmere cafe gets quite a few feathered visitors

Rowing boats, ducks and best of all ice creams

This is where I long to be on those cold wet winter days, outside enjoying a coffee on a warm spring day in France, watching the world go by.

I love the tormenting cat  staying safely out of reach while the poor old dog is desperate to reach it.  I saw this little scene in Lytham in front of the victorian shops.

This elderly gentleman was up and about very early one Saturday morning in spring, trying to beat the rush to the shops, I love the light and shadows that this time of day creates.
